A deep love of, and connection with and in nature - that would describe me. Observing, admiring, studying, photographing nature. I am happiest in nature. A native Midwesty, I find unique beauty in each and every season. For 20+ years I have enjoyed arranging flowers personally, professionally, and competively gravitating toward Ikebana (Japanese floral arranging) and its purpose and principles: -To learn to appreciate certain things that people normally ignore. -Fresh approach, movement, balance and harmony. It is with this understanding I started collecting plants, flowers and leaves from my garden, yard, and camping ventures. I began pressing them to preserve their beauty. By chance I came across some unusual floating glass frames and immediately thought they might be an interesting way to display my pressings. Offering a new approach to the Ikebana purpose and principles so dear to my heart. And they do! My botanical art glass frames inspire movement, balance and harmony. Perhaps you will see something perceived as ordinary (like a leaf) in a new way. Each frame evokes a fresh, modern, more contemporary feel capturing Mother Nature’s architecture; beautiful in simplicity, intricacies, perfection and imperfection. I love the calm and joy having a little piece of nature in my home brings me and want to share this feeling with you and thus Cynthia Hill Designs was born!"
